Q How is the Job Analysis completed?

A The employer identifies a group of job experts. This group of individuals should have a high degree of familiarity with the job being studied.  They may include individuals who hold the particular job being studied and excel at that job, supervisors and managers, or others who have a high degree of familiarity with the job. Next, the employer will have at least 10 job experts complete a survey that is designed to identify the competencies that are important for success on the job. The job expert can complete the survey in approximately 15-20 minutes.

Q Who can administer Employee Self-Description Index (ESDI)?

A The questionnaire can be administered by any employee who has been through a short phone training session with Sequential Employment Testing, Inc.

Q How does my applicant take the ESDI on-line?

A There are two methods

Method 1: The employer connects to Sequential Employment Testing, Inc’s website. Then the employer types in their User Name and Password. Next the applicant fills in their name and identification number and completes the questionnaire. After completing the questionnaire the applicant is given a confirmation number to verify that they have completed the questionnaire. In a few minutes, the employer will receive the applicant’s results.

Method 2: Same as Method 1 except the applicant accesses the questionnaire from the Employer’s website.

Q How does my applicant complete the pencil-and-paper ESDI questionnaire?

A The employer will have a supply of test booklets and answer sheets. The test booklets contain easy instructions for completing the questionnaire.  The applicant should be placed in a quiet setting to complete the questionnaire.

Q How long does it take to complete the paper ESDI questionnaire?

A 15 – 17 minutes

Q How long does it take to complete the ESDI on-line?

A 12 – 15 minutes

Q How many test booklets do I need to purchase if I use the paper-and-pencil ESDI questionnaire?

A The test booklet is not written on so it can be used over and over. Most clients keep no more booklets than the maximum number of applicants that would be tested in one session.

Q How much will it cost to start using the ESDI Program?

A

• $250.00 - One time cost for program setup which includes the analysis of the Inventory of General Position Requirements
• $13.75 - per on-line ESDI test result
• $13.00 - per ESDI test result (pencil and paper test only)
• $0.75 - per Index Answer Sheet (pencil and paper test only)
• $2.75 - per Test Booklet (pencil and paper test only)
